Jonathan Martins Pereira (born 30 January 1986 in Bayonne) is a French football defender who currently plays for FC Nantes.[1]
Pereira began his career with AST Foot Tarnos. In 1998, he moved to Aviron Bayonnais FC. He was later scouted by RC Lens and played in the training center of club's the youth teams. After two years with RC Lens, he moved on loan for a season to Amiens SC. Pereira played one more season for RC Lens, before he transferred on a three year contract to AC Ajaccio.[2] After a difficult first season in Corsica, it his play improved during the 2008-2009 season, even make offensive plays and scoring 2 goals.[3] During the winter transfer window for the 2009/2010 season, he joined FC Nantes[4] who signed him for 2 ½ years to help the club the club earn promotion to Ligue 1.[5]
